Montlobre is a concentrated Merlot wine blended with Cabernet-Sauvignon grapes , matured on wood.
The vineyards of the domain produce sound, quality wines, with the emphasis on the Merlot grape.
The unique location and composition of the vineyard – Merlot with 15% Cabernet – provides a very subtle and characteristic grape juice year after year. Production is limited to between 40 and 50 hectolitres per hectare, making Montlobre an extremely concentrated wine with a broad structure.
Montlobre characteristics are: harmony; rich, creamy, broad fruit and soft oak tannins. This is a full wine made using the ripest Merlot juice, with a structure suitable for laying down.
